Incised Rounds with a 15 Year Performance Warranty*

At Flaherty Timber we can offer a 15-year performance warranty* for our Warrapost incised round posts and strainers because of our quality treatment process.

• All our timbers are air dried to the desired maximum moisture content. We manage our stocks using the older and drier timbers first. This allows the wood preservative to penetrate the timber sufficiently during the pressure treatment process.
• Incising is carried out on each post in an area just below and above ground level at the pointed end of the post. Surface incising of ground contact timbers prior to high pressure treatment ensures a consistent depth of preservative penetration, particularly through resistant heartwood.
• All Warrapost incised round posts and strainers are pressure treated with Tanalith® E wood preservative. This established wood preservative brand has over 30 years proven performance of protecting timber against wood decay and insect attack. To provide an initial rich brown colour, we add Tanatone® colour additive to the high-pressure treatment to provide inbuilt colour.
• We carry out a professional treatment process carried out by highly skilled and trained operatives at our own purpose-built timber treatment facility. Timber samples are regularly checked to ensure a consistency of timber treatment penetration into the timber.
